How to cut text on a front cover of a PC?

Now you can start cutting. You’d better drill small holes in the cover plate for easy cutting of a 2-millimeter cover plate. The best is to use small drills. But you should do it while observing all  cutting standards. Firstly you need to give a tilt to a cover and then drill it. The best way is to use bit stock. You should pay attention while cutting letters O, A and P and so on. These letters have central part and you should be careful when you cut such letters. If you cut out this central part the letter will be looking too fat and ugly. If you want to work with dremel you can, but I don't have it and I used only my own instruments.
You can also use broach files (small files) – you can smoothen lines, edges and so on, because it’s very hard to do this work with a knife.
So, all letters are done. Make smooth finish of the cover plate. Take wide adhesive and stick it to a cover plate from the front side, then place central parts of the letters to their places. Check if everything is all right.
The next step is to put clear silicone or another embedding compound all round the cover plate. It’s not hard just flood it with silicone layer, equal to plastic thickness. The hardest thing is to make it cover letters' edges. For this you can take something sharp (and thin) and draw the letters contour from the back side. You should touch adhesive tape through silicone, but you shouldn’t cut it. Don't be afraid of air bubbles - if they appear it would look like an interesting lighting effect. It should be looking like this:

Here you can see that I used not much embedding compound – I only glued the letters and there is no silicone on the edges. Now look at the "o” and “a” cuts. They are held only on silicone and nothing else. It looks better then if I used wires or plastic parts.
Now you should make lighting for this part. Here’s my scheme:

Its parameters are as follows:
•  D diode prevents condenser discharge current in line +12V PC power after it’s switching off.

Non-constructive thoughts about modding...

All began when one day my neighbour, he is Automatic Control Engineer, came and started to beg me to give him one diode. When I asked him why, he typed modding in a search engine. And it had a great effect on me. I was sick about it. Maybe there is nothing accidental in the world and this modding seed fell into good soil. All my life I was interested in design.
