Modding
Modding server 1U
I got next surprise from Intel when I looked inside their Delta power box. The component parts were buried under a layer of sealant of a finger thick. Voltage is half a volt higher; I tested it with a good tester under load. In a word, the power box was also wasted money. I won’t risk with server and big money for me by switching on such block. In short, I’m really distressed. From my point of view, it’s a dishonorable behavior of the manufacturer. After this accident I’ll hardly buy anything from Intel… Probably I’ll turn to AMD processors.

However I thank the greedy Intel dealers because without their poor case there wouldn’t be this article :) Thus, it was introduction. Read about my perversions and how I overcame the problem situation…

This is how the case looks from inside. Fasteners for ventilation pipes are made of blue plastic. By the way, it is also not well thought-out – there is a slot in the air midway… I didn’t manage to comprehend the function of this ingenious splitter damper or dust collector :)

| Non-constructive thoughts about modding... |
All began when one day my neighbour, he is Automatic Control Engineer, came and started to beg me to give him one diode. When I asked him why, he typed modding in a search engine. And it had a great effect on me. I was sick about it. Maybe there is nothing accidental in the world and this modding seed fell into good soil. All my life I was interested in design.
