First steps to fanless computer

I’d like to give some information for the beginners. If you have pondered over computer noise insulation for the first time this article is for you. The simpliest and not expansive modding will help you reduce computer noise almost to 50%.

Fans (coolers) are the main source of computer noise. An inexperienced user will have the question: may the coolers be thrown away at all? Alas, the answer is “no”. Even with intensive air blowing, computer components heat up badly. That’s why our task is not just to reduce the noise, but secure normal cooling of all parts. Safety is the most important thing, isn’t it?

It’s easy to check processor temperature of all primary devices, as well as the supply voltage value and speed of rotation of main fans. There is a special computer program - Speedfan. Download, install and test the program.
Temp1 – processor
Temp2 – motherboard chipset
HD0 – hard disk
HD1 – second hard disk, if any
I’ll explain a little how the program works. Almost every computer card has a built-in temperature sensor. Speedfan interrogates these sensors and shows the data on the monitor. There is a muddle sometimes because the manufacturers don’t have a single standard. So, don’t get complicated if one of the sensors will suddenly indicate 130 degrees or -25. This means most likely that the program interrogates non-existent sensor. You may easily disable this line in the settings. Temp1 and Temp2 change their places in some motherboards. I agree that all this seems intricate at first sight, but this program is the best one.

Non-constructive thoughts about modding...

All began when one day my neighbour, he is Automatic Control Engineer, came and started to beg me to give him one diode. When I asked him why, he typed modding in a search engine. And it had a great effect on me. I was sick about it. Maybe there is nothing accidental in the world and this modding seed fell into good soil. All my life I was interested in design.
