Handmade Silent Power Supply
OK, stop telling horror stories. Let’s start our work! At first, because of my natural idleness and disgust for manual labor, I wanted to set an additional radiator just on the “native” radiators and to equalize their height with copper and aluminum linings.

I even fitted water case just in case.

But it turned out, that the radiator with diode packs was grounded (joined with case) and the radiator with transistors had the voltage of 146V. If they were covered with the same radiator, the short circuit would have happened. I could put the radiator over the mica lining, but such decision looked like an ineffective one for me. There was nothing for it, so I had to unsolder both radiators along with the cells located over them.

I unsoldered them using the screened shielded wire armature wetted with soldering flux. This occupation isn’t recommended for people with shattered nervous system. I resisted the temptation to break all this stuff down several times.

| Non-constructive thoughts about modding... |
All began when one day my neighbour, he is Automatic Control Engineer, came and started to beg me to give him one diode. When I asked him why, he typed modding in a search engine. And it had a great effect on me. I was sick about it. Maybe there is nothing accidental in the world and this modding seed fell into good soil. All my life I was interested in design.
