Silent computer
Silent HDD
I haven’t decided yet how to mount the new device to the system case, so I put it on the basket which is useless now. So, I joined the slots and plugged in the PC.

I listened to the music for about an hour and then I checked the HDD’s temperature and was surprised at.
And how not to wonder at – the HDD’s temperature was 26.1°C. For comparison, when the HDD functioned in the same condition simply “in air” its temperature was 37°C. Then I made defragmentation of dick D. During all that business about this stuff I even forgot about the noise. But when defragmentation began, I understood that there was no noise! I can’t say that it completely disappeared – if one puts an ear to the thorned case, a little noise will be heard. But when sitting at the keyboard I didn’t heard the noise of the running HDD. However, the thermal paste damps the noise and vibration well enough. After defragmentation the HDD case temperature was 35.1°C as compared with 40.3°C “in air”.

The gap isn’t so impressive, but it’s OK. The overheat of the HDD is too far, although the room temperature was 23°C. Good modding everyone, Clear66..

| Non-constructive thoughts about modding... |
All began when one day my neighbour, he is Automatic Control Engineer, came and started to beg me to give him one diode. When I asked him why, he typed modding in a search engine. And it had a great effect on me. I was sick about it. Maybe there is nothing accidental in the world and this modding seed fell into good soil. All my life I was interested in design.
