How to use a multimeter?
This question is very popular on forum, that’s why I wrote this small guide. I took the most widespread Chinese multimeter priced at 6$. You can’t expect precisely from this device, but it can cope with it’s duties. I’ll begin with explanation of the switch. DCV – measuring continuous voltage ACV – measuring alternating voltage DCA – measuring alternate current Hfe – measuring parameters of the transistor Temp –measuring temperature, with the help of the special sensor Resistance test – ohm sign, I don’t have it on my keyboard. On good instruments there is HZ sign – frequency measurement, ÀÑÀ – alternate current measurement, results memory and so on. Measuring continuous voltage. We measure 9v-type battery. Choose corresponding measurement limit, in this case 20 volts. It is quite enough. If you don't know what the voltage (current, resistance) is begin measuring from the highest rate, otherwise this device can break.

There are red and black leads on a device. Red, as always in electric engineering is assumed to be the plus. Turn in into plus connector of multimeter, which is not hard to find if you will read inscriptions near device sockets.

| Non-constructive thoughts about modding... |
All began when one day my neighbour, he is Automatic Control Engineer, came and started to beg me to give him one diode. When I asked him why, he typed modding in a search engine. And it had a great effect on me. I was sick about it. Maybe there is nothing accidental in the world and this modding seed fell into good soil. All my life I was interested in design.
